Abstract

Adolescents are increasingly confronted with emotional issues, demanding a solution such as adolescent emotional intelligence development. Traditional Indonesian music, notably Javanese gamelan, can help adolescents develop emotional intelligence. People who follow a set of rules and limits undertake Javanese gamelan exercises. When practicing gamelan, the individual must hit his gamelan tool and listen to the gamelan played by his colleagues in the gamelan group to generate a harmonic gamelan sound. The study's findings revealed a link between the severity of Javanese gamelan music training and emotional intelligence, with the higher the intensity of Javanese gamelan music training, the higher the emotional intelligence. The intensity variable of Javanese gamelan music training can contribute 30.25 percent to the emotional intelligence variable. In contrast, the remaining 69.75 percent is influenced by elements other than the intensity variable of Javanese gamelan music training. Beyond the intensity variables of Javanese gamelan music training, the family, non-family, physical, and psychological environments all have a role.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of accounting expertise and accounting information systems on the performance of MSMEs using environmental uncertainty as a moderating variable.  The research method used is quantitative with data collection techniques through questionnaires. A total of 97 respondents were collected from various MSMEs in the Lagoa sub-district, Jakarta, Indonesia. The sample was tested for validity and reliability as well as hypothesis testing through the Smart PLS software application. The findings indicated that accounting expertise had no discernible influence on MSMEs' performance. Accounting information systems have a substantial impact on the performance of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Uncertainty in the environment might mitigate the influence of accounting expertise on the performance of MSMEs. Environmental uncertainty may mitigate the influence of accounting information systems on the performance of small and medium-sized businesses.

Abstract

In the GVC of cocoa commodities, Indonesia has a potential position as one of the suppliers of cocoa commodities. However, the cocoa industry sector is increasingly threatened when the world enters a crisis period due to the global pandemic in early 2020. For this reason, Indonesia has made many efforts to maintain its position in the GVC of cocoa commodities. This study attempts to analyze Indonesia's position in the global cocoa chain in the pandemic era. The method used is qualitative research with a library research approach. The theory used to analyze focuses on global value chain theory. This study finds that Indonesia's tried to maintain it’s position in global cocoa chain through economic stability, both at the domestic and global levels. This position is described in the aspect of increasing the contribution of cocoa commodities to GDP, increasing the export market share of Indonesian cocoa commodities in the global market, as well as increasing the competitiveness of the Indonesian economy. This condition becomes a parameter to measure the performance of Indonesia's political economy as well as demonstrates the capability of the Indonesian government in dealing with the global crisis due to the pandemic and minimizing the impact of the crisis on national stability. Thus, it can be concluded that Indonesia can still maintain its position in the global cocoa chain as an important supplier.
